Another name of Paris is "the City of Lights", dates from 1828 when Paris first in Europe lighted with gas street lamps its main boulevards, including the Champs-Élysées. And of course Paris is the most romantic city in the world.

Paris has been granted with gifts by the ages – monuments came from a history of 2,000 years. The city is dotted with numerous symbolic monuments. Paris is an absolute living post card, a city full up with places to discover across various districts each with a unique spirit of its own.

As a political and cultural centre for Europe since the Middle Ages, Paris saved many relics of its past. As a centre of international trade Paris hosts headquarters of different international social and trade organizations such as the UNESCO and OECD.

• Champs-Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe - The arch's incredible reliefs and sculptures memorialize Napoléon's soldiers and generals. Start or finish from the Arc de Triomphe a walk down the absolutely beautiful  Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
• Centre Georges Pompidou and the "Beaubourg" Neighborhood – it is the cultural pulsation of the city.
